Evaluation is one of the most challenging \u2014 and meaningful \u2014 aspects of being a Processwork
trainer. It is a training skill that calls on us as trainers to engage the deepest parts of ourselves
and our students. It challenges us to find corners of our being that can use evaluation to
perceive and nurture growth in our students, ourselves and our teamwork.
In this workshop, we will explore how feedback, assessment, and Second Training
(ProcessMind) come together in the service of student growth, community standards, and the
deeper values that guide our work.
As trainers, we are called to hold many roles at once \u2014 teacher, supervisor, mentor, examiner,
therapist, and community member. We support each student\u2019s unique path while holding the
shared standards of Processwork practice. This creates a complex teaching environment where
we are always asking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u25cf How do we evaluate in a way that supports learning, follows nature, and reflects the
values of Processwork?
\u25cf How do we know when a student is ready for their next step?
\u25cf How do we give feedback that is honest, useful, and developmental \u2014 while staying in
the relationship?
\u25cf How to effectively use all kinds of metaskills?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf How our evaluation styles shape different trainer roles (teacher, supervisor, mentor,
examiner, therapist)

\u25cf Process Mind and how it informs evaluation
\u25cf Working with Process Mind to engage emerging processes and transforming realities<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Processwork training is intensely relational and individualized both for the trainer and those
being trained. As trainers, we:

both formally and in the subtle feedback that shapes learning.

Kate Jobe, Gill Emslie and Boris Sopko<\/a> are members of the Senior Faculty of La Escuela at
The Institute of Processwork and Deep Democracy, Barcelona. They have worked closely with
one another and come from various backgrounds. They have all initiated and run training
programs in different parts of the world and share an interest in how to train practitioners of
